The Decision of the Case:

So the court came up with a decision which was 7 to 1 saying that they rejected Plessy's arguments. The majority said that Mr. Plessy's 13th and 14th Amendment rights were not violated in any such way. They also said that blacks are inferior to whites and that most other places for blacks are poorer. The minority was said by Justice John Marshall Harlan. Since he was a former slave owner and saw all the terrible things that happened to blacks. So yeah that's pretty much what happened. Sorry if this post wasn't as interesting as the others.

What Happened Next:

After Mr. Plessy was taken off the train he took the case to the Louisiana Supreme Court.
Judge John Howard Ferguson said that "Louisiana had the right to make rules for railroad companies as long as they operated within state boundaries." So basically, Judge Ferguson agreed with the government. After Judge Ferguson's decision Mr. Plessy appealed to the United States Supreme Court in 1896. There shall be more information later!

A Scare on the Train:

Today I was riding on the train with my mother. We were going to visit my Aunt Penelope. We had such a pleasant ride there. Everyone was nice and friendly. On the way back home we all had quite a scare. While riding on the train we came to a stop. A black man of the name Homer Plessy stepped into the car. The car happened to be a whites car only. He walked up the aisle and sat in the seat right in front of my mother and me. I was horrified! The conductor had to send for the police to come to get him out of the car. When Mr. Plessy refused to move he was sent to jail. When the police finally hand cuffed him he was screaming "this violates my 13th and 14th Amendment!!" This was the scariest train ride of my life! Until next time.

14th Amendment Passsed:

Hi Again Everyone,

Now another amendment has been passed. The 14th Amendment. It says that if you're born or naturalized in the United States you're a citizen and of the state that you live in. You all have probably heard about the news, but it's never to late to hear it again.

13th Amendment Passed:

Hi All,

The 13th Amendment has been passed. Well, actually it's been passed for a couple years now. Apparently it wants to abolish slavery. It says that you can't force people to work unless you've been convicted and it it your punishment. I'm not to sure how I feel about this amendment. Bye for now.
