A Scare on the Train:

Today I was riding on the train with my mother. We were going to visit my Aunt Penelope. We had such a pleasant ride there. Everyone was nice and friendly. On the way back home we all had quite a scare. While riding on the train we came to a stop. A black man of the name Homer Plessy stepped into the car. The car happened to be a whites car only. He walked up the aisle and sat in the seat right in front of my mother and me. I was horrified! The conductor had to send for the police to come to get him out of the car. When Mr. Plessy refused to move he was sent to jail. When the police finally hand cuffed him he was screaming "this violates my 13th and 14th Amendment!!" This was the scariest train ride of my life!
